Skin Rejuvenation Cost, Procedure, Contraindications &
Possible Complications
Skin Rejuvenation is a common anti aging cosmetic surgery done to improve the
appearance and beauty of skin. It can be done with a variety of techniques, such as chemical peels and non-ablative
methods or light, laser, or other energy based treatments.
The desired result is smoother and clearer skin, which can result in a more youthful
appearance.
Skin Rejuvenation Procedure
There are a number of different procedures that can be used for Skin Rejuvenation.
Laser resurfacing can make a difference in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles that are specific areas of the
face, such as around the eyes or near the upper lip, or can help with wrinkles anywhere on the
face. Laser treatments can also
improve the appearance of scars from acne, as well as treating pigmentation disorders. Chemical peels can be used for such things as age and
sun spots and will leave the skin with a perceived glow because of the improvement in
texture. Botox injections are
another method to help reduce wrinkles and can even help prevent them, and the results last for 3 to 4
months. Dermabrasion is used
to reduce deep lines, eliminate a tattoo or reduce the visibility of a facial scar.
Skin Rejuvenation Contraindications
Careful consideration of skin color, degree of scarring, and skin type must be
included in the determination of the type of treatment each person undergoes in order to limit the risk of either
loss of pigmentation or development of additional pigmentation.
People with sunburns, inflammations, open wounds or heightened allergies may not be
able to have the skin peel procedure. Those with cold sores, or who scar easily should select a method other than
dermabrasion. If you have blood
clotting problems or an infectious disease, many of these procedures are not for you. People on certain severe acne medications should not
undergo these treatments. People
with darker skin should be very careful to select the procedures that will work for them.
Skin Rejuvenation Cost
Because Skin Rejuvenation is a medical procedure, the cost will
vary. However, costs will include
such things as the facility costs, anesthesia costs, surgeon’s fees, medical tests and any prescriptions or
medications you may require. Many
plastic surgeons offer financing plans for their patients in order to make it more
affordable. Costs for the
laser may run anywhere from $2400 - $5000, and the dermabrasion can run from $2000 to
$4000. Deep chemical peels
can run from $3500 to $5000, while micro peels costs only $60 to $100 and medium peels prices fall between
$1500 to $2500.
Skin Rejuvenation Complications
Some of the complications to Skin Rejuvenation treatments include risk of
infection, pigmentation irregularities, skin surface irregularities, textural changes, burns and scarring.
If you experience serious or painful symptoms, your Physician will prescribe you
an appropriate treatment to fight against these health issues.
