Restylane for Lip Augmentation and Wrinkles Removal

Blemishes, wrinkles, lines, and other unsightly additions to the face are causing a lot of stress for today’s beauty lovers. Perhaps this is most apparent, due to the recent an increased interest in corrective and cosmetic surgery procedures available in many areas of the world.  No longer are people destined to suffer the natural effects of what they so grudgingly call “middle age.”  With injectable dermal fillers such as restylane and other varieties anti aging treatment, thousands of people are essentially getting a hold of drops of what may be considered “the fountain of youth.” Restylane is not a cosmetic surgery.

Restylane is used to help sculpt a person’s face, ridding it of lines and wrinkles, and bringing the smooth skin they always hoped for to the forefront of the face once again.  With the help of a skilled and careful doctor, these unsightly marks can easily be removed for a few months at a time.

Restylane Procedure

The procedure of receiving injectable dermal fillers is very simple, and only requires a half an hour of the patient’s time.  After consulting with the patient, and determining the specific needs that he or she has, the face will be carefully cleansed and treated in preparation for the injection procedure.  Little to no anesthetic may be needed for this procedure.  The doctor will then insert the syringe full of restylane just under the skin in the wrinkled area, injecting the appropriate amount of substance, until the wrinkle is filled from the deepest layers on up.

After the injection, the doctor will gently massage the treated area, smoothing out the skin.  As this procedure is done in an outpatient or special facility, the patient is then easily able to go about their way without any problems.

Restylane Contraindications

Those individuals with inflammation, acne, or cuts at the treatment site will not be able to go through with the procedure.  Also, anyone currently using immunosuppressant medication, anticoagulants, or antiplatelets are discouraged against its use as well.

Restylane Price

As with many other varieties of dermal fillers, the cost of restylane is measured by the amount of syringes used in the injection process.  While each one will cost about $500, more than one is often used per session.  As restylane is only a temporary solution to signs of aging, sessions will need to be repeated after a designated period of time, usually a few months to a year.

Restylane Complications

Few complications exist with the use of restylane.  These will include a hypersensitivity or allergy to the ingredients used in the injection, and necrosis at the injection site.  Other, more common complications will often include redness and swelling for a few days following the procedure, although this will subside quickly. If you experience serious adverse effects or painful symptoms, your Physician will prescribe you an appropriate treatment to fight against these health issues.
