Liposuction Procedure

Liposuction involves a surgical procedure that is performed by an experience liposuction surgeon. The process involves the burning and separating of fat deposit cells in the trouble areas. The point of the procedure is to remove the fat producing cells so that fat cannot be re-deposited in the affected area. Recovery time is usually about 2 weeks. The reason for this is that after the surgery, severe bruising and swelling can take place. These side effects usually take about 2 weeks to subside. With the pain subsided, it makes it much easier for the individual to wear clothing without experiencing pain after this two week period. Typically the doctor will prescribe pain medication to help the patient get through this recovery timeline.

Liposuction Complications

Liposuction, while much safer these days, still poses great risks. The risk of dying is very real as skin and vital organs are exposed during the surgery. Anesthesia is also administered which can cause complications such as cardiac arrest and nerve damage. Many people also experience the reintroduction of fat deposits in the areas that they have the surgery on years down the road.

Liposuction Prices

The prices of liposuction surgery completely depend on the area of the body that gets the work done on. This anti aging treatment can cost from $1,500 dollars to $7,500 dollars. It is also important to note that additional fees are also expected as there is hospital stay and medications.
