Juvederm to Restoring Youthful Beauty

Due to widespread coverage of cosmetic surgery in celebrity and high class circles, the use of injectable fillers in resolving issues with lines, wrinkles, and folds in facial skin is not news to many North Americans.  People are constantly battling with the enemy of Age, as it continues to relentlessly attack those individuals nearing middle to late adulthood.  They do need effective anti aging treatments. In an effort to recapture that beautiful flawless skin they used to have, individuals are turning to injectable fillers such as Juvederm to solve their problems.

Juvederm is one of the most popular choices that people are making in injectable dermal fillers.  The substance is based on a non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid that works to boost the natural elasticity of skin, improving the appearance of age lines in many places on the face.

Juvederm Procedure

The administration of Juvederm is a simple and uncomplicated one, although it has proven to be very effective in most patients.  In a procedure that lasts only twenty minutes or so, an individual can be injected with enough of the substance to smooth his or her face completely.

After cleaning the face and treating the affected areas with a mild anesthetic, the doctor will carefully insert a hypodermic needle filled with Juvederm just under the skin.  As the injectable dermal filler is pushed beneath the skin, the lines, wrinkles, and folds found in that area are slowly filled, until they appear to not be there at all.

Juvederm Contraindications

Any individuals who have a history of severe allergies are greatly discouraged from the use of this dermal filer.  Patients who have experienced anaphylaxis also are warned from its use.  The individual who has an allergic reaction to gram-positive bacterial proteins should probably choose another form of treatment for their signs of aging.

Juvederm Price

Just as with any other injectable dermal filler, the cost of Juvederm will depend on the amount of syringes needed to complete the procedure.  This cost will range from $800-$1,300.  However, the facility fees and doctors fees will also be placed on top of that cost, and these will differ between doctors and geographical locations.  Often, the cost of such a procedure cannot be covered by insurance, and a payment plan is offered by the doctor’s office.

Juvederm Complications

There are few complications that commonly occur in patients undergoing this injection procedure.  However, a redness or swelling at the treatment sites will often last for only a couple of days following the injection.  Other less common complications include allergic reactions, bruising, scarring, and asymmetry.  These should be discussed immediately with the doctor. If you experience serious or painful symptoms, your Physician will prescribe you an appropriate treatment to fight against these health issues.

While this dermal filler will generally yield immediate results, the individual is encouraged to continue receiving them on a regular basis to maintain that youthful look.
